Cicotte plans run for Hastings' seat

KENNEWICK, Wash. -- George Cicotte, an attorney from Kennewick, says he is planning to join the race to replace Rep. Doc Hastings in Congress.

Cicotte says he will officially launch his campaign for the 4th Congressional District seat on Thursday with events across the district. He will appear in the Tri-Cities at 11 a.m., in Yakima at 2 p.m., and in Moses Lake at 5 p.m. The locations of these events have not yet been determined.

Cicotte will become the eighth candidate for Hastings' seat. Hastings has announced that he will retire at the end of the year.
