KENNEWICK, Wash. - The Tri-City Regional SWAT Team rushed to Kennewick early this morning to surround an apartment complex after a man refused to come out.

The incident ended with the arrest of 34 year old Arthur Madrigal, May 19, 2017.

Kennewick Police called in the Tri-City Regional SWAT Team after Arthur Madrigal barricaded himself in an apartment on the 4200 Block of West Kennewick Ave.

Police say Madrigal tried to fight, with a firearm-in-hand, another man earlier yesterday just for looking at him.

Police and SWAT finally arrested Madrigal without incident after a standoff.

Madrigal is now booked into the Benton County Jail for 2nd degree assault.

Police have confirmed that Madrigal is from Othello, and he apparently confessed to having gang affiliations.
