It happened when the boy 11-year-old then called 911 and started giving his mom CPR. He kept her alive until help arrived.
Paramedics eventually got a pulse and transported the 33-year-old to the hospital. We talked to one neighbor who knows the family -- she says the boy may have recently learned CPR at a youth camp.
"He took care of his brother still and called 911 -- knew what to look for, knew something was wrong. and it was just awesome that he knew exactly what to do," said neighbor of young hero "Shawna."
The mother is expected to be okay. She is currently recovering in a local hospital.
