WALLA WALLA COUNTY -- Emergency crews were called to Casey Pond, which is just off Highway 12 near the Boise Cascade Mill. The Sheriff tells Action News a 12-year old boy was walking in the water along the shore with friends and family when he slipped on the slick rocks. And it was right at a point that's actually a steep cliff. He went under. We're told he didn't know how to swim. The Sheriff says he was likely dragged down river. Rescue crews and volunteers eventually found the body about three hours later. This is the second drowning here in the Basin in the past five days. Search crews are still looking for the body of 14-year old Timothy Bowden. His boat sank late Saturday night in about 25-feet of water just off the Hood Park boat launch.
