2 men charged with murdering 17-year-old on 4th of July

BENTON COUNTY, Wash. -- Two young men have been charged with 1st degree murder for the shooting death of their friend.

The Benton County Prosecutor filed formal charges Tuesday against Josh Hunt and John Young.

The teens were picked up on the 4th of July after admitting to police they had shot 17-year-old Josh Snapp. The boy's body was found in the desert near the Horn Rapids ORV Park.

Court papers say the 19 and 18-year-olds took turns shooting Snapp and then tried to cover their tracks.

Both teens expected in court again Wednesday.
