A 3.4 magnitude earthquake shakes Satus Pass
SATUS PASS, Wash. - No injuries are reported in a magnitude 3.4 earthquake that shook near Toppenish.
The Yakima County Office of Emergency Management (OEM) confirmed the earthquake about 30 miles south of Yakima around 12:04 p.m., Thursday.
OEM's Senior Planner, Horace Ward, said the earthquake was 7.1 miles deep at Satus Pass along Highway 97.
He said the area is sparsely populated and no reports of feeling the quake or any damage caused have been reported to Yakima County dispatch.
