Earlier this year, local growers started donating fresh veggies to the food bank.
It's allowed the food bank to save thousands in reduced produce costs.
More people are using the food bank than ever before, so the savings are a big help.
Most of the donations come from people who simply grow vegetables in their backyard.
If you have too many tomatoes or zucchini or other produce -- you can bring it to the food bank on Wellsian in Richland.
