Airport on life support thanks to Federal grant

Cash-strapped Walla Walla Airport is long over-due for some good news - and it came today in the form of a 250-thousand dollar grant.
The "Small Community Air Service Development Grant" will beef up marketing - in hopes of bringing more travelers through its terminals.
Something Port Commissioners have pointed to since the very beginning of the Alaska Airline pull-out crisis -- as the *only way" to keep commercial service viable in the future.
This two-year plan will be heavily promoted on the west side - as they try to lure people from Seattle to Walla Walla's wine country.
