Apartments on WSU Tri-Cities campus taking applications for housing
RICHLAND, Wash. —
When students at Washington State University Tri-Cities head back to class in the fall, some of them will have some new digs to stay in.
A new apartment complex is currently going up on the north end of the campus, the first of its kind for the university.
The Brelsford Vineyards has 81-units with one to four bedroom units. Students and staff will have first priority.
Rental prices start at $890.
Vice chancellor of student affairs Chris Meiers says they began the process for the apartments about four years ago when students told them they needed more accessible housing: “Primarily because of the rental occupancy rates in the Tri-Cities. Trying to find housing that is accessible, of good quality, is very challenging.”
Although the complex won't open until August, students can apply for a unit now.
