Camp Patriot Fun Run is a patriotic and charitable way to celebrate Independence Day
Pasco, Wash. – If you want to kick off your Fourth in both a healthy and patriotic way, you can run in support of our local veterans.
The Camp Patriot Fun Run takes off at Gesa Stadium at 7:30 tomorrow morning and you cross the finish line at home plate.
The 5K and 1-Mile races support Camp Patriot, a non-profit that gives back to disabled veterans who have given big sacrifices for our freedom.
"We bring the vets to the ranch, I still do some external trips and that's where you see your donor dollars at work," said Camp Patriot Founder Micah Clark. "Last year, we had about 70 veterans through and that was all generations of veterans. Locally, we just can't beat the support that the Tri-Cities gives us."
The Fun Run costs $35 for adults and $25 for kids, including a t-shirt and goodie bag.
If you can't make it out, you can still show your support as a virtual runner. Learn more at camppatriotfunrun.org.
