CBC bomb threat suspect appears in court

PASCO, Wash. - A Finley man accused of a bomb threat that shut down CBC last week, appeared before a judge for the first time today.

Steven Brown is being held on suspicion of making a bomb threat. He's got a criminal record dating back to the late 80's. Court papers say Brown was scheduled to take a placement test at CBC in the same building and on the same day named in the threat.

All CBC campuses were closed last Thursday while crews searched for a bomb. Nothing was found. Pasco Police tracked Brown using a disposable cell phone.
