Pasco students to compete in the NASA Rover Challenge

Students from the CBC High School Academy, will be the only school in the Northwest competing in this year’s rover competition.

PASCO, Wash. - Local students are on their way to compete in the NASA, Human Exploration Challenge.

Students from the CBC High School Academy, will be the only school in the Northwest competing in this year’s rover competition.

For the past 20-years, the NASA program has challenged students to design and build a rover that can perform in different environments.

The program at CBC, provides students the opportunity to achieve a higher education in science, math and engineering.

The trip will cost around $25,000, and students will be hosting a yard sale this week to raise funds.

The yard sale takes place Fri. and Sat. at 1603 W Imnaha Ave., Kennewick.
