Cheer spreads through downtown Kennewick at first-ever Holiday Parade
KENNEWICK, Wash. -- It may have been a frosty day, but that didn't stop the fun at the first-ever Kennewick Holiday Parade.
Kids excited to see Santa and families ready for the holiday season lined the street in Downtown Kennewick.
People enjoyed festive floats, marchers, and candy givers. Folks who went said they were surprised with how many people came since this is the parade's first year.
"It was awesome,” Elizabeth Torres said. “It was so much fun! He especially liked seeing Mickey and Santa Claus, so I was happy to see him smile," she said about her young son.
Smiles and shivers were all around with many hopeful this holiday festivity will carry on next year and become a Kennewick tradition.
