RICHLAND, Wash. - You know we are in the the swing of summer when the last farmers market opens and today the market at the parkway was setting up shop in Richland.

Over 80 vendors were on hand. Asparagus, onions, and strawberries were flying off the shelves. One of the biggest question marks this season were if cherries were going to be in stock this early.

The answer was yes, but only some had them. One vendor was just trying to keep up.

"Everyone is excited to see the cherries, they see a bing and get excited, excited to try them and see that they have great flavor, just excited for cherries."

If you missed out on the opening, don't worry. The market will run through October. and is open every Friday from 9am to 1 pm.
