City of Kennewick begins summer road repairs
KENNEWICK, Wash. -- Drivers in Kennewick might want to leave a few minutes early before heading out on the road these next few weeks.
Starting today, the City of Kennewick is working on their Asphalt Restoration Project, which they plan to complete by September. This project will fix pot holes and pavement areas damaged by our harsh winter season.
The first three areas affected these next two weeks are Columbia Drive, Canal Drive and Kennewick Avenue. Drivers should expect traffic to slow down.
"It’s good for people to know that they’re being fixed. People were concerned when they were reporting some of the things that saw around town," Evelyn Lusignan from the City of Kennewick said. "The bulk of our street maintenance budget for 2017 is going towards those repairs."
City leaders ask that you use caution and drive slowly through construction areas.
