Community volunteers and leaders prepare for 8th annual bike build

In eight years’ Bikes for Tikes and Local 598 have been able to donate 10,000 bikes and helmets back to the community.

KENNEWICK, Wash. - For some good news-- Friday, December 8th, marks the 8th annual Bikes for Tikes and community leaders and volunteers, are getting ready to assemble bikes for kids at the Benton County Fairgrounds.

In eight years, Bikes for Tikes and Local 598 have been able to donate 10,000 bikes and helmets back to the community, with the help of local contractors.

Each year growing their assembly number and now they average about 1,600 bikes a year.

Toys for Tots will help give these bikes to kids in need-- along with other gifts.
