Convicted Richland felon caught with a loaded revolver

R.P.D. Press Release- On 4/6/12 at about 11:30 PM, Richland Officers responded to the apartment complex at 200 Waldron after receiving a report that a male there had been making threats against family members and was in possession of a loaded .357 revolver. The male was identified as Gabriel Artz, a previously convicted felon. It is illegal in Washington State for convicted felons to possess, purchase, or be in control of any firearm.
Officers surrounded the residence and were able to contact Artz by phone. Artz surrendered himself to police without incident.
A search warrant for the apartment was obtained and Officers recovered the loaded firearm and well as drug smoking paraphernalia.
Artz was booked into the Benton County Jail on the above listed charges.
