DOE announces new manager of Hanford Office of River Protection
RICHLAND, Wash. - The U.S. Department of Energy is announcing the new manager of Hanford's Office of River Protection.
The DOE announced October 23 CH2M project director Brian Vance was named the new manager.
Vance has previously served with Westinghouse, AREVA, in Department of Defense acquisition programs and the Navy nuclear propulsion program.
“I am honored and excited to be chosen to lead ORP at this important time to continue the Department of Energy’s successful work to tackle one of the largest environmental challenges at Hanford—radioactive tank waste,” Vance said in a statement.
Leaders said Vance will replace Ben Harp who served as acting manager since late September. Harp will return to his previous position as Office of River Protection deputy manager.
