Donations up for Toys for Tots

KENNEWICK - Toys for Tots is still trying to make up for increasing demand. The organization saw a jump in donations outside Kennewick's Toys-R-Us this morning.

Even with 5,000 kids to provide with gifts, the group has a lofty goal. It hopes to donate three gifts to every single child. So far, they're halfway there -- accruing about *7,000 gifts so far.

"You know, registrations are at 150%, so it's a big demand for toys, but the Tri-Cities is stepping up. I knew they would," said Local Area Coordinator Glen Carter.

And you can still donate at various drop-off sites around the Tri-Cities. You can also register to get help online. Just click under "newslinks."
