Driver suspected of cocaine possession bribes police officer with Taco Bell
PASCO, Wash. - Police have arrested a man after he offered an officer Taco Bell in an effort to bribe the officer to ignore cocaine.
Police said Officer Joshua Glass stopped a Honda Accord near Road 68 and Burden Road for an equipment violation Thursday around 2 a.m.
Officer Glass noticed small baggies with white powder inside the vehicle and the driver quickly set a cell phone on top of them.
The driver, Eric Xavier Vela Arriaga, 27, described the baggie as having cocaine residue inside and offered the Pasco police officer a Taco Bell "hook up" in the future if the Officer Glass would ignore it according to reports.
Officers arrested the Pasco driver and booked him into Franklin County Jail. Police also took possession of the car for further investigation.
According to reports, more baggies of cocaine were found in the car Thursday evening.
Police are investigating the suspect for possession of cocaine with intent to deliver, and possibly attempted bribery.
