Drives down Oregon Avenue will be a bit slower

PASCO, Wash. - The accident-prone Oregon Avenue in Pasco will be getting a bit safer. The speed limit will be lowered from 45 mph down to 40.

The change has already been approved by the state; it just needs an okay from the city.

The lowered speed limit will be on the stretch of Oregon Avenue between Highway 12 and Ainsworth, where accidents have frequently involved semi-trucks.

The speed limit could be dropped again if safety doesn't improve.
