Dutch Bros donates "a dollar a drink" to Kennewick schools on Thursday
KENNEWICK, wash. -- Dutch Bros addicts can pick up Kickers and Carmelizers through tonight in support of a local cause.
All Kennewick Dutch Bros locations are donating a dollar per drink to the InvestED program in the Kennewick School District. The program’s funds aim to support students in middle and high school beyond school supplies, but it improves their everyday lives and betters their educational experience. InvestED is able to provide things like basic clothing, shoes, athletic gear, P.E. locks, and whatever a teacher or counselor deems fit for a student’s specific situation.
"(There was) a middle school student, a girl, who didn't have any clothing. I mean she wore the same clothes and they didn't fit her correctly,” said Chinook Middle School Principal Kevin Pierce. “So the counselors took her and purchased some clothing so that she could not only have clothes that fit her, but then have a little bit of variety so that they could keep the clothing clean."
The fundraiser runs at Dutch Bros until 11 PM. To learn more about how you can support InvestED, visit the Kennewick School District’s website at www.ksd.org.
