Dutch Bros. robbed by man in mask

KENNEWICK POLICE DEPARTMENT NEWS RELEASE -- On 6/6/2014 at approximately 10:31 PM Kennewick Police responded to a robbery that just occurred at Dutch Brothers coffee shop at 4305 West Clearwater Avenue.

The employees stated that an unknown black male wearing a black winter coat and ski mask entered the coffee shop and made a gesture that he was carrying a gun. The suspect demanded the money they had in the cash drawers. The suspect then left on foot with an undisclosed amount of cash. A K-9 track was conducted with assistance from Pasco PD, Benton County Sheriff's Office and Richland PD for the suspect. The suspect was not located. None of the employees were injured during the incident.

The investigation is ongoing and Kennewick Police are asking if anyone has any information about the incident to contact them.

UPDATE: Kennewick police have released a photo and an expanded description of the suspect in the Dutch Bros. robbery. The suspect is described as a 25- to 30-year-old black man around 5 feet 8 inches or 5 feet 9 inches tall. Police say he was wearing a mask, a fluffy winter coat that may have been turned inside out, grey sweatpants and black and white tennis shoes.

A $1,000 reward is being offered for information on the suspect.
