Eastern Washington Expo kicks off with new cattle demonstrations
PASCO, Wash. -- If you're looking for a way to get out of the cold but still surround yourself with all things agriculture, head to the Trac Center.
The Eastern Washington Expo is going on January 3rd and 4th. The event's been around for 30 plus years, but this time there's a brand new element: live cattle demonstrations.
That’s in addition to more than 100 exhibits showcasing everything from tractors with tires larger than farmers, high-tech new sprinkler systems and even some booths keeping the kids entertained.
“There's a lot of great new equipment here so it's a chance for the ag industry to come together, especially on these cold days where there's nothing really going on at the farm,” said Eastern Washington Expo’s Colin Hastings.
It's six dollars at the door to get in, but if you bring a can of food you'll get a dollar off. Les Schwab and Second Harvest are working to fill the food bank with a thousand dollar check from the tire company plus whatever you can bring.
