Emergency crews responded to Palouse Falls State Park for a missing swimmer Saturday night.

According to the Franklin County Sheriff’s Office, law enforcement responded after receiving a call around 5:30 P.M.

Officials say the missing swimmer is a 23-year-old man from the Spokane area.

According to FCSO, three people were swimming near the bottom of the waterfall.

Officials say witnesses reported then seeing two of the swimmers get pulled underneath the water, but only one person came back up.

Several agencies responded to the scene, including FCSO, Columbia Basin Dive Rescue and the Pasco Fire Department.

Crews spent several hours searching for the missing swimmer. The search was suspended around 9 P.M. Officials say they’ll start searching again on Sunday morning.
