Fewer passengers fly out of Pasco for the holidays

TRI-CITIES, Wash. -- Fewer flights out of the Pasco airport led to a drop in passengers during the holidays.

Ten percent fewer people flew out of Pasco in December compared to December 2011.

The decline comes as airlines dropped service from the Tri-Cities, including flights on United, Delta and Allegiant.

Some of those routes are expected to come back when the weather warms up.

Despite the numbers, yearly passengers figures are still up slightly from 2011.
