Former Kennewick teacher sentenced to 18 months prison for rape
BENTON COUNTY, Wash. -- A former Kennewick teacher who admitted to raping a teen boy and sending nude pictures to students received her sentence today after apologizing in court.
"I am so embarrassed and ashamed of actions, and I take full responsibility for my wicked ways," Tonie Reiboldt said.
A judge sentenced Reiboldt to 18 months in prison, 42 months suspended, And 36 months of community custody.
The judge granted Reiboldt SOSA, or “sex offender sentencing alternative," which he says will help with public safety and rehabilitation.
The victims’ families spoke and say they want her to get help so she doesn't hurt anyone else.
Reiboldt says she's sorry for the pain she caused and will accept the consequences of her actions.
