Franklin County Sheriff deputies find Richland man lost overnight in White Bluffs area
FRANKLIN COUNTY, Wash. —
A Richland man is recovering after he spent the night lost in the White Bluffs recreational area.
According to the Franklin County Sheriff's Office, deputies were dispatched just before 5:30 A.M. to the location. They then found the 60-year-old man.
He had been hunting since 10 A.M. Friday.
After he became lost, he spent the night without food, water and shelter.
An area hospital treated the man for hypothermia and dehydration
Sheriff deputies advise everyone to be cautious when enjoying the outdoors, avoid hiking or hunting alone if possible and let someone know where you'll be going, as well as when you're expected to return.
