Frost Me Sweet is set to expand, doubling the size of its restaurant seating
RICHLAND, Wash. – Frost Me Sweet just got a little sweeter. The popular Richland bakery and eatery is going to expand by doubling the size of its restaurant and will offer more dessert choices.
The owners of Frost Me Sweet in The Parkway recently bought the building next door to their restaurant that was once home to a law office.
The work on the expansion is scheduled to get underway this month. They'll move the bakery and kitchen to the new building, reserving the existing space for more restaurant seating.
"It's a little bit nerve wracking, but it's exciting and it's kind of the last step of our progression of Frost Me Sweet, said Megan Savely, owner and baker. “We're really excited for the new chapter, so I think it will be good for us."
The expansion will increase the potential number of customers served at one time from about 30 to about 60.
“There will be additional seats in the bakery as well,” Savely said. “So if people just want to come in and get coffee and cupcakes and relax there will be space for that too.”
The owners hope to have the new area open by the end of the summer.
