RICHLAND, Wash. – The Hanford High School Key Club hosted a pancake breakfast Saturday morning for the community.
Hanford Key Club students partnered with the Kiwanis Club to put on the fundraiser at the Richland Community Center.
Hanford High students cooked and prepared the hot cakes to for the guests.
Organizers say they look forward to using the money raised to help serve those in need through volunteerism.
"This is something it’s an opportunity you have, it’s always fun, and you're with a group of people who love doing what you love to do, it’s just a wonderful experience,” said junior and pancake breakfast chair Katrina Taylor.
“These are our leaders of tomorrow,” Said Betty Norton of the Kiwanis Club. “And I am so proud of them—I really really am."
Proceeds from the event will help support the Children's Cancer Fund and other key club projects.
