The new location opened today with a celebratory ribbon cutting. The center in Richland is the only location that women and children can access WIC services. This is the seventh location in the Tri-Cities and the first in Richland.
"In today's world, a white collar worker who is making good money, and all you have to do is lose your job and most people cannot afford to pay out of pocket, so our doors are open to all," said Al Cordova, CEO for the Tri-Cities Health.
Officials tell KEPR that this is most likely the last location to be added, but expansion in current locations is a possibility in the future.
