Police looking for suspect who ran from Hermiston officer in traffic stop

HERMISTON, Ore. - Police are looking for a man who has warrants for his arrest in Hermiston and Idaho.

Jacob Arthur McKeever, 29, allegedly ran from a Hermiston police officer who pulled over his van near the intersection of NE 5th Street and E Gladys Avenue for a lighting violation, around 10:45 p.m., Monday.

Police discovered multiple items believed to have been stolen inside the abandoned, burgundy van registered to the suspect, reports said.

McKeever is 6'3", and weighs roughly 250 pounds.

Reports from the Hermiston Police Department said his previous warrants out of Hermiston and Idaho are related to drug offenses.

Officials ask anyone with information regarding the suspect's whereabouts to contact Hermiston police.
