It's raining cats and dogs in Richland!
Richland, WASH -- It's raining cats and dogs in Richland, as the Academy of Children's Theatre presents "101 Dalmations" and "The Aristocats".
The double feature has a cast of nearly seventy kids ranging in age from eight to eighteen.
The productions run back to back with a brief intermission. Each show is about 45 minutes long. The actors say it's non-stop action and animals.
Tayler Riley plays mother cat "Duchess" and says the Disney classics are a blast to perform, although playing an animal is much different than other roles. "Sometimes I walk around on stage when I'm playing a human and just clunk around on stage. But when I play a cat I have to keep my chin up and be more elegant and graceful with my movements, " says Riley.
And for Katie Connors, playing the role of Cruella De Ville is a dream come true. "It is just the coolest thing ever. I've always wanted to play Cruella ever since I was little. She's always been like my favorite villain."
You can take your kids to see "101 Dalmations" and "The Aristocats" this weekend. The shows are at the Academy of Children's Theatre on Wellsian Way Friday, Saturday and Sunday.
