Jewelry store in Kennewick burglarized
KENNEWICK, Wash. - The owner of Garland’s Goldworx is asking for your help identifying the man who burglarized her store over the weekend.
The custom jewelry store was broken into Saturday and it was all caught on surveillance video.
The suspect broke through the door, crawled into the back of the store and took what he could in two minutes, owner of the shop Kris Garland said.
All of the jewelry was locked in a safe, so the suspect didn’t make out with anything he can sell. He just took tools and scrap metal. The estimated value of the stolen property is about $2,800, Garland said.
“We’ve been in business for 32 years and although we have been cased and our phone lines have been cut we’ve never had a break-in,” Garland said. “So it is very unnerving.”
If you have any information about the suspect contact the Kennewick Police Department at 509-585-4208.
