Kennewick drive-by shooting leads to Pasco home

TRI-CITIES, Wash. -- A drive-by shooting in east Kennewick left neighbors ducking for cover Monday night.

Police tell KEPR someone in the car fired several shots towards a house on Beech Street.

Witnesses say a white Ford Escort sped away.

No one was hurt.

Neighbors were surprised and say those in the targeted home are very nice people.

"It was just really scary since it was right next to my house, right outside," said Elizabeth Andersen, who heard gunshots. "We were all freaked out. But the police know what they are doing, so I still feel safe."

The suspect vehicle was later spotted by Pasco P.D.

Those inside the car ducked into a home on Ninth Street in Pasco.

SWAT moved in and five people were detained.
