Kennewick Housing Authority: We'll catch vandals on tape

KENNEWICK, Wash. -- Increased security has done the trick for the Kennewick Housing Authority.

A year ago, KHA installed more than two dozen security cameras.

Since then, the cameras have caught everything from fights to vandalism.

The biggest success has been to prevent tagging.

In the year since the cameras went in, graffiti cases have dropped 90 percent.

It's led to safer neighborhoods overall.

A state grant paid for the cameras.

KHA is also looking to add security lightning around the property.
