Kids with special needs saddle up for Rascal Rodeo
BENTON COUNTY, Wash. -- Grab your boots and head to Benton County fairgrounds because things are about to get a little country.
Rascal Rodeo is providing the adrenaline rush and sense of accomplishment of the Wild West this Saturday for people with special needs.
The foundation puts on several rodeos throughout the Northwest each year and they say the turnout always seems to grow.
"Chuckie was there ten years ago as one of our original participants and he has cerebral palsy, so he’s restricted to a wheelchair, " Board Member Paul Whitemarsh said. "He can’t walk or talk, but he loves to ride horses, and that just makes it worth it - to lift him out of his wheel chair and put him on the back of a horse," Whitemarsh added.
People with special needs of all ages are welcome. If you'd like to volunteer or join the fun visit rascalrodeo.org.
