Libby Middle School to open next week
WEST RICHLAND, Wash. -- Libby Middle School in West Richland, home of the Chargers, opens its doors next week. The 108,000 sq ft building cost 35 million to build and will house over 700 students. Many kids will welcome teachers they've had previously throughout the Richland School District.
"A lot of teachers that they had before, they'll recognize. A lot of friends they had at previous schools they'll recognize." said Melinda Reddick, a Language Arts and Drama teacher. "It's going to be a new adventure, but really they'll have the same community to back them up."
The middle school prides itself on providing students with the best learning tools, so they'll be handing out chrome books to every student at the school.
