Man accused in stabbing at Umatilla reservation
PENDLETON, Ore. (AP) - Umatilla Tribal Police arrested a man after a stabbing victim showed up a Pendleton hospital.
The East Oregonian newspaper reports that 20-year-old McCallister John Sohappy was booked into the Umatilla County Jail on charges of assault, menacing, harassment, recklessly endangering another and attempted criminal homicide.
Tribal Police Chief Tim Addleman said Friday that the stabbing occurred on the reservation, and the FBI is involved in the investigation.
He did not release the identity of the man who was stabbed.
