Man injured in crash involving semi, small car on Glade Road

FRANKLIN COUNTY, Wash. - A man is being taken to a hospital after deputies say a small car crashed with a semi truck just north of Pasco.

Action News has learned emergency rescue had to cut a man out of the sedan, following this collision that occurred Friday afternoon on Glade Road.

Glade is blocked in both directions, just north of the Tri-Cities Airport. Fire crews, ambulance and a Life Flight helicopter responded.

The man was initially treated in an ambulance at the scene and later taken by helicopter to a hospital.

Responders at the scene say the victim is conscious.

Franklin County deputies said it appears the driver of the sedan crossed the center line and struck the back tire of the semi.

The semi driver was not hurt in the wreck, according to officials.

The patient is being transported by a Life Flight helicopter for treatment of his injuries.

Deputies continue to investigate this crash.
