Man ruled out in attempted kidnapping; suspect on the loose

PASCO, Wash. -- Pasco Police now tell KEPR the photo of the man distributed Friday morning is not of a suspected kidnapper. That man met the description of the suspect in an attempted abduction Thursday night. But officers identified the man and have ruled him out as a suspect.

Pasco Police responded to a reported attempted abduction in the 900 Block of Court Street.

On October 25, 2012 at approximately 6:00 p.m. a Pasco woman was walking from the local convenience store in the 900 Block of Court Street towards her residence. She was confronted in the alley by an unknown Hispanic male whom attempted to force her against her will into his vehicle. The woman was able to fight off the attempt by the suspect to force her into an awaiting vehicle.

The suspect fled from the immediate area in what is being described as a mid-90s, Honda Accord, white in color with tinted windows or a similar style of vehicle. It is believed that the suspect acted alone in the attempt. No other individuals were observed. The male individual is described as being in his late thirties. Approximately 5 foot eleven inches tall with a thin build. He was wearing dark hooded sweatshirt and dark colored sweat pants.

Attached are two photos of a person police believe is probably the alleged suspect in the attempted abduction. As police continue to investigate the incident they are requesting should anyone know the identity of the individual to please contact Pasco Police.
