Man shot by Kennewick police pleads not guilty

KENNEWICK, Wash. -- A man shot by Kennewick police finally appeared in court months after his injuries.

Dennis Skellenger is pleading not-guilty to eluding police and assaulting an officer. He's skipped a couple other court appearances due to medical reasons.

Police shot Skellenger after he pointed a gun at them after police chased him through town.

Skellenger has had almost 200 other encounters with the law. He's expected back in court again in a couple weeks.
