Man wanted in Richland car chase behind bars
TRI-CITIES, Wash. -- Richland police say Anthony Roberts, the man suspected of leading officers on a chase through the city Tuesday afternoon, is now in custody.
The Richland Police Department says officers found Roberts at the Airport Motel in Pasco, then took him into custody with help from Pasco police and the U.S. Marshals Service.
Roberts was booked into the Benton County Jail on multiple charges including possession of a stolen vehicle and eluding a police officer.
On Tuesday, officers say Roberts was attempting to steal a car outside the Richland Fred Meyer when someone called police. Police say Roberts then fled the scene in a stolen pickup truck and led more than a dozen patrol cars on a chase.
