Martha's House and Shelter is finally open. The non-profit has equipped 18 rooms. People can stay while looking for a job. Those efforts are monitored closely.
Residents must be actively in the job hunt or volunteering so that this is not a long-term solution.
"Some of them have been living in their car and their isn't structure in a car, they have just been trying to survive and here we want to teach them how to live, or get back to a life that they can live and enjoy life," said Marta's House Case manager Elizabeth Ashbeck.
The goal is to have people stay at Martha's House no more than four-months before they are equipped to live on their own again.
