Meals on Wheels just released their 2014 budget, and there's a $65,000 gap. That equates to 9,000 meals the non-profit won't be able to deliver starting next month. They may have to stop food service one day a month, on the weekends or not supply second meals for frail seniors.
The program is considering all options, but the reality is those hardest hit, will be those most in need. For $100 you can sponsor a route, feeding a dozen seniors.
