Mid-Columbia Ballet performs for children with special needs
RICHLAND, Wash. - Tomorrow the Mid-Columbia Ballet (MCB) presents the Spring Mixed repertory. Dancers will perform three acts, including contemporary, Little Red Riding Hood and Swan Lake.
MCB has committed to arts education to develop the INCLUDE program, designed for children with special needs and complete with workshops implemented in studios and K-12 schools.
They work to find the marriage between dance and academics through arts integrated residencies.
Renee Adams, Director of Programs and Outreach said, "The biggest goal is that every child in the Tri-Cities gets dance as a part of their education, inside their school hours, and in a way that's accessible to them."
The performance tomorrow begins at 3 p.m. and tomorrow at noon they will put on a special sensory friendly and free show for children with special needs. Tickets are available at midcolumbiaballet.org.
