"Nuisance" lights go dark near TRAC

PASCO, Wash. -- We've been following up on those two cell towers in Pasco by the TRAC that many of you complained were too bright. You may have noticed they've stopped flashing.

After our story, Pasco contacted the cell companies and asked them to turn the lights off.

Currently, the cell providers are negotiating with the Federal Aviation Administration about whether or not they actually need the lights at all.

It was thought the lights were necessary because of the towers' proximity to the airport.

As it stands now, the lights will be off indefinitely until a solution is reached.
