NWS: Snow expected overnight for Tri-Cities
TRI-CITIES, Wash. - Drivers are asked to use caution due to a Winter Weather Advisory issued for the Lower Columbia Basin.
The National Weather Service (NWS) out of Pendleton reported the advisory will be in effect from midnight Tuesday until 10 a.m. Wednesday as snow is expected to fall through the night.
Areas impacted by the weather advisory include Connell, Prosser, the Tri-Cities as well as the Northern Blue Mountains of Washington and Oregon.
Leaders said people living in these areas should anticipate two to four inches of snow, with the heaviest accumulations to hit areas just north of the Tri-Cities.
NWS officials ask that drivers prepare for slippery road conditions Wednesday morning.
Snow could also affect traveler visibility and drivers are asked to use caution.
