PASCO FIRE: A green light to better safety

PASCO, Wash. -- KEPR learned Pasco Fire hopes to get money to improve emergency response times.

The department would like to get a device that changes traffic signals from red to green.

All too often, precious time is lost because firefighters have to stop at red lights during emergency calls.

With the device, emergency response times could be improved by 90-seconds.

It will take several months before Pasco fire knows if it will get the money.
