Pasco fixes up roads without chip seal

PASCO, Wash. -- There's a twist to the latest road construction in Pasco, as the city plans to use a different process to fix some neighborhood streets and alleyways.

A process known as "microsurfacing" costs about half the price of chip sealing and can last longer. It's not used as often because, if it doesn't work, crews have to go back out and redo it with chip sealing.

Pasco will start microsurfacing in an area off Sylvester Street and Road 40.
